Friendly Fires Getaway is built on an expansive wooded hillside which slopes down to the shore of Grand Lake. It includes four separate buildings: the central main cottage with large attached veranda, the Bunky on one side which is a private bedroom space, the Teahouse which is above the cottage on the hillside which is another private bedroom space, and the Smokehouse, a fully enclosed and sheltered BBQ cooking space with built-in wood stove. The firewood is provided for both the wood stoves and the fire pit.

About the Owner

I have always had a love for design, construction, and now the hospitality industry. I am adding features yearly and know that my Guests will enjoy the new things we have to offer. You will look forward to what is new for the season. We look forward to sharing them.

We have 5 places that are bathroom related. One is on the main floor, with included washer/dryer facilities. The sauna off the kitchen has a shower. Upstairs, we have a 2-piece bathroom, shared between the two bedrooms. The Teahouse is a stand-alone building up on the hill overlooking the main cottage and the lake. The Tearoom has a 3-piece bathroom with shower. Outside during the warm months, you have the use of a rain shower by the spa, that can be used to wash yourself or your dog!

The main cottage has two private upstairs bedrooms. The Bunky is right next to the main cottage, about 10 steps away, sleeps two in total privacy with a view of the lake. The "Teahouse", is a private bedroom up on the hill overlooking the main cottage. It too has a wonderful view of the lake. The Teahouse has an en-suite three-piece bathroom/shower combination.
